If you’re looking to change your financial situation, your mind needs to change first.

 

The transformation of your financial life comes afterward.

That’s just how it works, because your inner world creates your outer world.

Let’s take an up-close look at how this applies to your situation:

Changing your mind so you can attract more money can be difficult to do by yourself, because your ego-mind has a lot invested in keeping your blind spots in place.

It’s afraid you will see the truth – that infinite abundance is available to you right now.

Weirdly enough, your ego-mind does this because it loves you. It keeps your blind spots invisible to protect you from the disaster it imagines massive wealth could bring, like:

• If I get rich, I will be punished
• If I have financial success, I will have to work 24/7 to keep the money coming in
• If I have all the money I want, I will lose my motivation to live my life’s purpose and disappoint God

So, while you may consciously desire tons of money, another and more muscular part of your mind believes something bad will happen if you get rich.

That’s because your ego-mind has linked prosperity with painful emotions and memories from your past, your parents’ past, or even further back than that.

This keeps you stuck in a “one foot on the brakes, one foot on the gas” mentality with money.

“A house divided against itself cannot stand.” – Abraham Lincoln

Did you know your mixed feelings about money affect your ability to attract it?

If part of you loves the idea of having more money, yet part of you fears it … money will have a hard time finding its way to you.

That’s because a confused mind says “No” to whatever it’s confused about.

Here’s an example

Shelley shared with me her frustration over her struggling company:

“Part of me wants my business to do really well, so I can buy a house and support my kids and not worry about money all the time.

“Another part of me is scared that if my business takes off, I’ll never see my kids or my friends because I’m working so hard – and I’ll never meet anybody, either. I’m basically afraid my business would take over my life if it gets as big as I want it to get.”

I asked her, “How is your business doing right now?”

She groaned. “It’s more like a hobby than a business. I’m hardly making any money at all.”

“This reminds me of something Abraham Lincoln once said: ‘A house divided against itself cannot stand,’” I noted.

“Your mind is divided against itself because part of you wants a successful business and another part feels scared by what you think success will bring. You’re seeing your business as a lose-lose proposition – you lose if it tanks and you lose if it succeeds.

“So, your confused mind has been saying ‘No’ to your business … which influences potential clients and investors to say ‘No’ to your business, too … because we are all One.”

I asked Shelley – and I ask you – would you like your Higher Power to heal your divided mind so you can say “Yes” to having what you want in ways that feel safe, joyful and liberating for you now?

If so, say “Yes” out loud or in your heart … and sense Infinite Light filling your crown chakra and radiating through every cell in your body.

How to Allow Abundance into Your Life

Did you know your feelings about your body affect your finances, your romances, and every other part of your life?

That’s because deeply felt, long-held emotional energy attracts that which is like itself. Love attracts love, anger attracts anger, and so forth.

Let’s take a look at your relationship with your body and see how it colors your world:

If you starve yourself to lose weight …

If you stuff yourself with food to fill the emptiness inside …

If you rage that your body has betrayed you by getting hurt or sick …

You can begin healing by recognizing the emotional energy driving these actions – fear, sadness, anger.

All these emotions are normal; everyone feels them at one time or another, including me. It’s okay: Whatever emotions you feel, your Higher Power loves you just the same.

It’s when you hold on to those feelings that things can get sticky. That you can get stuck.

Here’s the deal:

The way you feel about your body reflects the way you feel about yourself.

Your feelings about yourself shape the way you treat yourself …the way others treat you … and the way Money, Love, and Life itself tend to treat you.

When you regard your body with appreciation, compassion, generosity and respect, you open the door for other people, Money, and Life itself to treat you the same way – because we all are One.

In the end, as Donald Duck reminds us, “It doesn’t matter how much you have. It all means nothing if you are not happy with yourself.”

Here’s the fun part:

When you are happy with yourself, golden opportunities fly to you; paths to success open before you; and marvelous people, who think you’re wonderful exactly as you are, find their way to you.

If you would like to set that in motion now, is it okay if your Higher Power shows you:

• How to recognize the beauty, sacredness and wisdom of your body, exactly as it is right now
• Why you can feel motivated and excited about making healthful choices, even though you accept your body as it is right now
• How magnetic you become to money when you appreciate your body as it is right now – and why that is, in ways that make sense to you
• Why feeling happy with yourself brings more fulfillment, love, prosperity and success than feeling dissatisfied with yourself, in ways you and your ancestors can understand
• How and why accepting yourself and your body contributes to creating a world that works for everyone

If so, say “Yes” out loud or in your heart now. Sense the energy of unconditional love filling your body, mind, heart and soul.

Living in an ever-changing Universe means it’s never too late for you to begin prospering.

Even if you’ve never had significant amounts of money before, it’s possible for you to have it now, because those itty-bitty electrons are forever forming a new Now.

When you stop interacting with past events by talking and thinking about them, you free their particles to dissolve into the formlessness from which they came.

This gives you a blank slate upon which you can write your new story of joyful prosperity with loving energy, compassionate thoughts and inspired actions.

Those darling little photons can just as easily form a large, permanent income for you as anything else in the Universe, like a field of vibrant red poppies, or the song “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

That is why you are always only a thought away from Abundance.

Author Carlo Rovelli uses stories, pictures and humor as well as data to document the scientific basis for the infinite possibilities, available to us in every moment, that metaphysicians have proclaimed for centuries.

Cohen reminds us that whatever we want – whatever we ask for – there is always more. Nothing is too much to ask for, in our universe full of infinite possibilities.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve sometimes found my fantasy of something appeals to me more than its nitty-gritty reality – like getting Rolfed (ouch!) or eating sea-urchin sushi (ewww!).

When our bold, brave step out of our comfort zone lands us in an icky pile of goo, it’s tempting to run right back into our familiar little world. We decide, “It’s scary out there. I’m staying in here.”

Trouble is, doing the same old, same old only creates more of the same old, same old.

if you want something different – like more money – you need to do something different.

Yucky previous experiences may have convinced your ego-mind there’s zero payoff in trying something new … that things never work out for you … or that you tried X before and it didn’t work, so there’s no point trying it again.

There’s just one thing the ego-mind overlooks: Every moment is brand-new. Whatever happened before has nothing to do with what is possible for you now.

Something fresh, new and wonderful can happen in this very moment, if you’re open to it.

Would you be willing to open to new possibilities for attracting money now?

Is it okay if your Higher Power shows you:

• Three joyful ways you can attract money from where you are with what you have right now
• Why you can now make gobs of money doing something your parents or peers told you would never bring in a penny
• How and why and what it feels like to feel safe, normal, comfortable, and clean having lavish amounts of money now
• Why you can trust yourself with large sums of money now, however you handled it before
• Why your life can still have meaning and purpose, even after you get everything you ask for

Attract Money by Accepting Your Body

Love and Money Magnet Tip of the Week

Do Little Things with Great Love

Healing your relationship with love and money, so you can attract more love and money, can seem like a tall order.

So, let’s consider some baby steps to begin with.

• If you make coffee each morning, bless the coffeemaker, the coffee, and all who drink it. Savor each sip of your coffee (or tea, as the case may be).
• If you’ve gone all Starbucks, bless those who take and make your order, the beverages they serve you, and those who drink it – yourself and/or others you have graciously provided with something good to drink.
• If you drive to work, call on your angels to keep you and those around you safe. Bless the road and all who drive upon it.
• If you work at home, bless your computer (or whatever instruments you use) before you start and declare, “Okay, Higher Power, I showed up. You take it from here.” Let inspiration, wisdom, excellence and love flow to you and through you as you work.

I hope these suggestions inspire you to find other ways you can bring more love into your day.
